−6 to Prythian: Feyre Speaks, Maya Hawke Rumours & ACOTAR Launch Chaos

Six days before Sarah J. Maas releases A Court of Splintered Harmony, Feyre has an official teaser, readers are discussing alleged last-page leaks, and hundreds of bookshops are preparing to party. Here’s the latest gossip, with the unpublished story kept spoiler-free.

REBELSSSS!!! SIX. BLOODY. DAYS.

Yesterday, we were discussing alleged leaked pages, an understandably upset Sarah J. Maas and an internet apparently incapable of waiting another week for a book.

Well, guess what?

THE INTERNET HAS BEEN BUSY AGAIN!

We’ve got Feyre speaking, Maya Hawke entering the conversation, rumours of even more leaks, readers arguing about the meaning of one mysterious number and bookshops preparing to turn themselves into the Courts of Prythian.

At this point, the release of A Court of Splintered Harmony is starting to look like an international festival with a publishing scandal attached.

I’ve been checking the latest announcements, retailer plans and fan discussions. As always, we’re keeping the unpublished story spoiler-free. Official promotional announcements are fair game, fan theories are theories, and internet rumours deserve a healthy dose of scepticism.

Sarah J. Maas Has Given Us Something New!

On 20 October, Sarah J. Maas posted an official video featuring a passage from A Court of Splintered Harmony.

The character?

FEYRE ARCHERON!

YES, REBELS! FEYRE!

After days of argument over alleged leaked material, Sarah gave readers a new passage on her own terms. The video is presented from Feyre’s perspective, and its caption reads “7. FEYRE.”

Two small details. Enough to send the fandom into another investigation? ABSOLUTELY!

Readers are discussing whether the passage relates to a significant event from an earlier novel or points to something new. I’m more interested in the other mystery: that number seven.

Sarah could have simply written Feyre. Instead, she gave everybody something else to analyse.

And the internet immediately started doing mathematics.

What the Hell Does Seven Mean?

Here’s where the theories become entertaining.

Does seven mean seven days until the launch? The seventh chapter? A seventh narrator? Or a connection to the next book?

Some fans think Sarah might reveal another character each day until publication. Others think the number points to the structure of The Valkyrie Cycle.

My favourite possibility is an official teaser every day: six more days of authorised excerpts, fresh character conversations and an increasingly excited fandom.

That is fan speculation, rather than an announced promotional schedule. Sarah hasn’t explained the meaning of the number publicly in the reporting I’ve checked.

ONE NUMBER. SEVEN POSSIBILITIES. APPROXIMATELY A MILLION THEORIES.

Welcome to ACOTAR.

Wait a Minute… Is That Maya Hawke?!

Now, THIS caught my attention.

Fans discussing Sarah’s video have identified the person reading the passage as Maya Hawke.

Yes, the actress and singer!

That identification is being repeated in ACOTAR fan communities, where readers have begun asking whether other famous fans might contribute to future promotional recordings.

Some are already imagining a different voice for every character. Others are speculating wildly about what a celebrity appearance could mean for a future adaptation.

Before the theories run away with us, the evidence matters: I haven’t independently verified an official credit for Maya Hawke on this particular clip. A celebrity reading a promotional passage also does not establish any casting announcement.

And for anyone worrying about the audiobooks, Elizabeth Evans is confirmed as narrator of the upcoming ACOTAR audiobooks. The audiobook announcement and the Maya Hawke discussion are separate things.

Still, a series of famous readers voicing official teasers?

I can certainly understand the excitement.

The Leak Situation Has Become Even Messier

Right. Back to the bloody leaks.

Yesterday, we discussed Sarah’s request that readers stop circulating unpublished material. Since then, more reader reports have appeared, and some claims go considerably further than photographs of a few pages.

On 20 October, a Reddit user reported that her sister had encountered what was described as a photograph of the book’s final page on TikTok.

THE FINAL PAGE?!

For the love of Prythian!

We’ve waited FIVE YEARS for this book. FIVE!

But here’s the distinction that matters: the claim is a secondhand reader report. I haven’t independently authenticated the photograph, and a description of an alleged final-page leak doesn’t prove its contents are genuine.

Another Reddit conversation includes claims that a file presented as the entire novel circulated on Tumblr and was taken down. Those comments are also reader accounts, not independent verification that an authentic complete manuscript was available.

Nevertheless, the very fact that people are discussing the alleged ending tells you how tense the countdown has become.

I’m here for the news, Rebels. I have absolutely no interest in publishing an unreleased ending.

Now Retailers Are Being Mentioned

Another part of the debate concerns physical books allegedly appearing in stores ahead of the official release.

Readers have named several US retail chains in anecdotal discussions. One commenter described seeing a copy displayed on a shelf and then discovering at checkout that it could not yet be sold.

Other readers are speculating about distribution warehouses and copies being handled before publication day.

These accounts have not established the original source of the online leaks. There is a huge difference between stock arriving before release, a book accidentally appearing on display and someone deliberately distributing unpublished pages.

Major launches need books in the supply chain before publication. A retailer having early stock is normal. How a particular image reached social media is a separate question.

As of this update, I haven’t found a publicly verified identification of the original leaker.

The internet is already full of suspects. It could use a few more facts.

Reddit Has Finally Put Its Foot Down

There’s also a concrete development in how the fan communities are handling the leaks.

On 19 October, the moderators of r/acotar announced stricter rules following community feedback and Sarah’s appeal.

NEW r/acotar POLICY: Sharing leaked material results in a 14-day ban. Requesting leaked material results in a 7-day ban. The moderators also locked their leak discussion thread.

Previously, the moderators had allowed properly marked leak discussions after a community vote. They said the volume of material had become much greater than they expected.

It’s an interesting moment for online book communities: how do you balance reader curiosity with the author’s request and other readers’ wish to avoid spoilers?

As an author, I know how personal the work behind a novel can be. As a reader, I want the chance to experience the story in the book itself.

Meanwhile, the Ship Wars Are Still Alive

REBELSSSS!!!

You didn’t seriously expect the ACOTAR fandom to spend an entire week discussing publication logistics, did you?

Elain. Lucien. Azriel. Gwyn. Nesta. Cassian.

THE WHOLE BLOODY COURT!

Official promotional excerpts have readers revisiting questions about mating bonds, shifting alliances and which characters will take centre stage.

One fan theory asks whether a mating bond might break or change. Others point to the musical language in the titles Splintered Harmony and Forgotten Melody.

Readers are also watching the Valkyries closely, especially Nesta, Gwyn and Emerie. The publisher’s official description confirms a new threat involving Koschei the Deathless and divisions within the Night Court, but those romantic theories remain just that: theories.

Which means everyone can continue arguing for another six days.

And probably for several months afterwards.

This Book Launch Is Getting Ridiculously Big

Now let’s leave the leak drama for a moment and look at what the bookshops are preparing.

Because this is where things become genuinely impressive.

Barnes & Noble has announced celebrations at more than 500 stores across the United States. On the evening of 26 October, participating branches will host ACOTAR-themed activities ahead of the chance to buy A Court of Splintered Harmony at midnight.

More than FIVE HUNDRED bookshops!

Imagine the people planning costumes, rereads, themed outfits and entire evenings around one novel.

And Barnes & Noble is only part of the story.

Target is hosting midnight release events at around 250 US stores. Its celebrations include trivia, photo opportunities and ACOTAR-themed merchandise, with many of the items in the collection priced under $20.

The first 100 visitors to participating midnight events are being offered a Bryaxis keychain and commemorative entry ticket, subject to the retailer’s conditions and availability.

A BRYAXIS KEYCHAIN!

Target also has a practical warning: readers with existing preorders should collect those orders during normal opening hours on 27 October, rather than expecting them to be fulfilled at midnight.

Between Barnes & Noble and Target, the announced celebrations reach more than 750 US stores.

This isn’t a normal Tuesday at the bookshop, Rebels.

Britain Is Literally Turning Into Prythian

This might be my favourite launch idea of all.

UK retailer The Works is transforming seven stores into the seven Courts of Prythian for publication day.

THE SEVEN COURTS:
Night Court — Edinburgh
Day Court — Teesside Shopping Park
Dawn Court — Manchester Arndale
Winter Court — Lincoln, St Peters Arches
Summer Court — Cwmbran Shopping Centre
Autumn Court — Merry Hill, Brierley Hill
Spring Court — Westfield London

HOW COOL IS THAT?!

The first 50 customers purchasing the new novel at each Court store will receive a goody bag while stocks last, and Edinburgh’s Night Court is planning a special midnight opening.

Even branches outside the seven special locations are participating in the celebrations, with bookmarks and stickers available while supplies last.

Waterstones locations in London are also organising midnight events, adding even more excitement to the UK countdown.

They’re turning publication day into a whole experience.

And I LOVE seeing bookshops get creative!

Apparently Even the Underwear Has Joined the Celebration

Yes, Rebels. We’ve reached the stage where Prythian has its own fashion collaboration.

Knix launched an 82-piece ACOTAR-inspired collection on 15 October, featuring lingerie, sleepwear and clothing influenced by the Courts and characters.

We’re talking satin, lace, loungewear, starry prints and designs inspired by Feyre, Nesta, Elain, Amren and Morrigan.

Here’s a detail I particularly liked: Knix says roughly 40 ACOTAR fans from its own team helped shape the collection over 18 months, with the exclusive patterns created by an artist who loves the books.

Book launches used to mean a window display, an author signing and perhaps a bookmark.

Now we have hundreds of midnight parties, collectibles, a fashion collection and celebrity-voice speculation.

The publishing world has certainly learnt how to make a bloody entrance.

Three Bonus Chapters Are Coming with the Book

Here’s another official detail worth remembering.

Bloomsbury has said the 352-page A Court of Splintered Harmony will include three previously published bonus chapters that appeared in earlier editions.

They concern Feyre and Rhys, Nesta and Cassian, and Azriel.

These are existing bonus chapters collected in the new edition, rather than three newly written bonus stories.

And the book itself is only Movement I of The Valkyrie Cycle.

A Court of Forgotten Melody arrives on 12 January 2027 with Movements II and III. Sarah has discussed a further movement in the larger narrative, although a publication date for that continuation has not been announced.

So October is the beginning of a much bigger story.

We’ve got quite a lot of reading ahead of us.

What Happens After Five Years of Waiting?

Here’s something I’ve been thinking about while following all this madness.

Five years is a long time for readers to wait.

During those years, theories become elaborate, relationships get analysed from every imaginable angle, and entire online communities develop around what people believe should happen.

Some fans are convinced they’ve solved every romantic mystery. Others are hoping their favourite character finally gets centre stage.

And then there’s the question nobody can answer until we read the actual book.

What happens when Sarah’s story is different from the story the internet has spent five years imagining?

Five years of theories can produce five years of imaginary conclusions.

But Sarah has been writing her story all this time.

And that’s the story I want to read.

My −6 to Prythian Verdict

REBELSSSS!!!

Yesterday, I was furious about the leaks. Today, I’m genuinely excited by the scale of what’s happening around this release.

Feyre’s official teaser has given readers something new to discuss. That mysterious seven has inspired another round of theories. Maya Hawke’s name has entered the conversation. Bookshops are preparing extraordinary events, and readers around the world are getting ready to return to Prythian.

THIS IS WHAT I LOVE ABOUT BOOKS!

A story that brings people together across countries and continents. A story that makes thousands of strangers excited about the same date. A story that inspires conversations, friendships, artwork, costumes and, apparently, rather elaborate underwear.

And yes, occasionally some spectacular chaos.

Sarah J. Maas has created something millions of readers care about.

Next Tuesday, we finally get to experience the next chapter.

I’m enjoying the official teasers. I’m following the news. I’m laughing at some of the more outrageous theories. And I’m staying away from anything that claims to reproduce unpublished chapters or reveal the ending.

After five years, I want to open that book and discover what Sarah actually wrote.

SIX DAYS, REBELS!

Six days until A Court of Splintered Harmony. Six days until Prythian. Six days until the internet discovers whether five years of theories were brilliant deductions or magnificent nonsense.

AND I CANNOT BLOODY WAIT!

Your Turn, Rebels!

Which part of this countdown has you most excited? Feyre’s return? Another possible character teaser? The relationship theories? Or simply getting that book into your hands?

Tell me in the comments. Just remember our very important rule:

KEEP THE UNPUBLISHED SPOILERS OUT OF HERE!

See you at −5 to Prythian!

Love you, Rebels!
