The Short Version
Books, reviews, notebooks, and controlled chaos.
Lupe Farkas is an author, ARC reviewer, beta reader, podcaster, audiobook listener, and lifelong reader.
She is the creator behind Imperfect Rebel, where books, stories, reviews, podcasts, creative chaos, notebooks, and emotionally damaging fictional characters all live under the same roof.
She reads across genres, writes across worlds, and has a suspicious tendency to start new projects immediately after swearing she will absolutely not start another project today.
What She Reads
Across genres, preferably with emotional consequences.
Literary & Psychological Fiction
Stories about memory, identity, grief, love, emotional damage, complicated women, and quiet moments that rearrange the entire room.
Fantasy & Witchy Books
Magic, witches, rituals, myths, strange worlds, dark forests, impossible choices, and women who should probably not be underestimated.
Memoirs, Women’s Stories & Rabbit Holes
Books that open doors into lives, histories, strange obsessions, and research spirals that begin innocently and end with twelve tabs open.
Reviewer Brain
Useful reviews, but make them feral.
As a reviewer and beta reader, Lupe is especially interested in story structure, character development, emotional pacing, reader impact, and the moment a book either breaks your heart or quietly rearranges your brain.
She believes a good review should be honest, useful, emotionally clear, and alive enough to make someone understand what the book actually did.
What She Notices
Story structure. Character contradiction. Emotional pacing. Reader tension. Book promises. Endings that land. Endings that fall down the stairs.
Read ReviewsAuthor Life
She writes books that probably need therapy.
As an author, Lupe writes psychological literary fiction, fantasy, witchy stories, horror, and children’s books.
Her debut novel, Before October Ends, is the first book in the Tuscany Days Trilogy.
Her current sources of chaos include ARC reads, Goodreads reviews, audiobooks, notebooks, Lupita Arlecchina, future books, and the ongoing attempt to pretend all of this is a reasonable amount of projects for one person.

If You Wonder Where She Is
Probably inside a book, a notebook, or a bad idea.
She is probably writing a new cartoon, plotting a book that will damage your soul and then politely call it character development, listening to an audiobook while doing three unrelated things, reading an ARC, beta-reading someone else’s chaos, or starting a new project she absolutely swore she would not start today.
Welcome to the chaos.
Books, reviews, podcasts, notebooks, strange little worlds, and fictional emotional damage — all under one roof.
